Step 1: Registering Your Shopify Account

The initial step in order to sell on Shopify and become a shopify seller is to register an account. You will need to fill out information such as your name and contact information. If you choose the “free 14-day trial” option, you won’t need a credit card to sign in.

You will then need to enter your store name. You will get the below error message if the store name you want already exists. The store name will be your main domain name but it can be changed anytime.
